Luggage transfer is included on the walking and cycling days of Ultreya Tours Camino journeys. Each morning, leave your labeled main bag with the hotel receptionist before 8 am. A luggage driver collects it and delivers it to your next confirmed accommodation by 3 pm, around the time many hotels begin check-in. You walk or cycle the stage with a small daypack and collect the main bag when you arrive.

What to do every morning

  1. Close the main bag securely and attach the Ultreya Tours luggage tag where it can be seen easily.
  2. Take it to reception before 8 am.
  3. Tell the receptionist that it is ready for the Camino luggage collection.
  4. Confirm that reception has accepted it before you leave. Do not leave the bag in your bedroom, outside the hotel or in an unconfirmed corner of the lobby.
  5. Keep your daypack with you and begin the stage.

The service transfers one standard bag per traveler weighing no more than 20 kg. Extra, oversized or unusually heavy luggage can be refused or charged separately. Close all pockets and avoid tying shoes, bottles or loose objects to the outside because the bag will be lifted and moved several times.

Where does the bag go?

The luggage company follows the same confirmed accommodation sequence as your itinerary. Drivers collect bags from several properties in the morning, sort them by destination and deliver them along the route. This is why the Ultreya tag must remain attached and why changing hotels independently during the journey disrupts the service.

Your bag goes to the next accommodation shown in your vouchers. When a journey includes a rest day or a private transfer, follow the instructions for that particular date. Never send the bag to an address found through a general online search; similarly named hotels and repeated village names can be many kilometers apart.

When you reach the next hotel

Check-in commonly begins around 3 pm, and the transferred bag should be there by then. Give reception the order name shown in your vouchers. The order name can be a traveler’s name, a birthday, a group name or another phrase chosen for the booking.

Some hotels place transferred luggage in a dedicated room before guests check in. Ask reception where the Camino bags are being held. If your bag has not arrived by 3 pm, contact Ultreya Tours using the journey-assistance information in your documents. We will trace it with the hotel and luggage provider.

What belongs in your daypack

Carry medication, identification, money, electronics, accommodation keys that must be returned, rain protection, water and anything you will need before 3 pm. Keep passports, medical devices, jewelry and other irreplaceable items with you. Add food when the stage has limited services.

The main case can hold your evening clothes, toiletries, spare walking clothes and other items that can wait until the next hotel. Pack liquids carefully and protect anything breakable. Bicycles, bicycle cases and other sporting equipment require their own confirmed arrangements.

Luggage transfer removes the weight of the main case from your shoulders while leaving the day’s walk or ride entirely yours. The same simple routine applies each morning: tag attached, bag accepted by reception before 8 am, daypack with you and delivery to the next confirmed hotel by 3 pm.
